Yarra Valley Wine and Food Festival – 1st & 2nd April 2017
Autumn is a very special time for visiting the Yarra Valley. The annual harvest is in full swing and our winemakers are busy making the wines that will become the 2017 vintage. Not long after the grapes have been picked the vines will then begin to show their change of season colours and vineyards that were lush greens over the summer will change into their Autumn wardrobe of golds, reds and russets.
Along with coming out to the Yarra Valley to witness the changing of the seasons, why not join us at this year’s Yarra Valley Wine and Food Festival. Set on the lawns of Rochford Wines, this two day festival will celebrate the Yarra Valley’s finest wines, local produce, ciders, ales and beers all at one central location.
The weekend will see over 40 wineries, five cideries and four breweries showcasing their best produce for you to taste and buy. There will be cooking demonstrations by My Kitchen Rules contestants who will be joined by some of Yarra Valley’s finest food producers, a Farmers’ Market, Wine Masterclasses conducted by local sommeliers and some of Melbourne’s best food trucks.
With live entertainment throughout the weekend, Saturday will feature ChunkyJam and Bjorn Again, the world’s best ABBA tribute band and Sunday will have a “Family Sunday” feel about it with activities for the kids including Ruby Ray & Dr. Jazz.
The mild weather of Autumn won’t last long and Winter will be upon us before we know it, so take advantage of the Yarra Valley Wine and Food Festival and come and visit us over the first weekend of April. More info and how to purchase tickets
