Job Title: Tasting Room Sales Associate
Established in 1969, Yarra Yering is one of the oldest and most beautiful vineyards in Victoria’s Yarra Valley. Our Tasting Room, nestled amongst 29 hectares of historic vineyard, offers guests seated tastings of some of the region’s most iconic wines.
We are seeking an enthusiastic, wine professional to join our Tasting Room team on a casual basis. Regular shifts are available on Wednesdays and/or Saturdays, commencing ASAP until January 2025, with potential for extension.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide an exceptional tasting experience, ensuring all visitors receive high-end service with professionalism and attention to detail.
- Act as a brand ambassador, showcasing superior wine knowledge and expertise on Yarra Yering’s portfolio and the Yarra Valley region.
- Assist with daily operations, including opening and closing, cash handling, bookings, stock management and maintaining our high presentation standards.
- Handle packing and despatching of online and telephone orders with accuracy and efficiency.
Requirements:
- Demonstrable wine knowledge and previous industry experience
- RSA and valid driver’s licence
- WSET Level 2 or 3 preferred
