Yarra Valley – Opening Venues Live List
As the Yarra Valley starts to reopen, we want to keep you updated on what restaurants, cafes and cellar doors you’re able to visit as the Government eases restrictions from June 1. We’ll keep the list up to date to with which venues are open, when and what their offering will be;
Balgownie Estate’s cellar door now open Thursday – Sunday, 10am – 5pm for limited numbers, bookings preferred but not essential. Their restaurant is also open Thursday – Sunday for a selection of two sittings for lunch and dinner. Bookings essential.
The Boat O’Craigo Cellar Door is open on weekends, 11am – 5pm for wine tastings with 20% off bottle sales!
From Monday 1 June, Chandon will be offering a set menu in both their Lounge Bar and Restaurant. Open from 11am – 4:30pm (Lounge Bar) and 12pm – 4pm (restaurant), bookings are essential.
Coombe Yarra Valley
The Coombe Yarra Valley Estate Cellar Door is open Friday – Sunday, 11:30am – 4:30pm. The Restaurant is open for lunch and High Tea. Bookings are available online for two course lunches and High Tea from 3pm. A credit card capture will be required to confirm the booking. The Cellar Door will be open for tastings with intention to purchase.
As of Tuesday 16th June, Cosmo Wines will be open daily for seated wine tastings, bookings are essential, call 0408 519 461 to book.
De Bortoli Wines
As of Monday 1st June De Bortoli will be opening their restaurant to 20 people with staggered booking times as a Cafe-style dining experience. Bookings are highly recommended to avoid disappointment. Their Cellar Door is now open for tastings daily from 10am – 4:30pm. Bookings are also essential.
Visit Dominique Portet Wednesday – Sunday, open 11:30am – 4:30pm, Wednesday & Thursday for light snacks, and Friday – Sunday 11:30am – 5pm for a Prix Fixe Menu. Their Cellar Door is also now open, Wednesday & Thursday 11:30am – 4:30pm, Friday – Sunday 11:30am – 5pm. Book via their website with a credit card holding.
Open from Friday – Sunday until further notice. You can visit on a Friday 11:30am – 3:30pm, while on Saturday and Sunday, breakfast is available 9am – 11am, with lunch available 11:30am – 3:30pm. All bookings are essential and must be requested via email – email@example.com. There is already limited availability for Queen’s Birthday Weekend.
The Giant Steps Pop-Up Cellar Door is now open, Monday – Friday by appointment only, and open 11am – 4pm on weekends. Bookings are essential as their capacity is limited to six seated customers at a time. Walk in’s received warmly but capacity must be adhered to.
Greenstone Vineyards is open 10am – 5pm, Thursday to Monday for seated tastings. You can also enjoy wines by the glass, gourmet pies and sausage rolls served with fries and salad, or a cheese platter. Bookings are essential to secure a table with a limit of 30 people in the cellar door at one time.
The Healesville Hotel Cellars reopened on Monday 1st June, with coffee and pastries available, while the Dining Room will begin service from Friday 5th June. The Dining Room will be open Friday dinner, Saturday lunch and dinner, Sunday lunch and dinner, two or three course menu. The BBQ will also be fired up in the Garden for lunch Saturday, Sunday and Monday, enjoy in the Garden or takeaway.
Helen & Joey Estate
Helen & Joey Estate are now reopen, you can visit from 10am – 5pm. Cheese and platters are available, as is the full wine and beverage selection. Bookings are strongly advised.
You can visit Innocent Bystander Wednesday to Sunday, 12pm – 8pm for most of your old favourites, plus a few new trial dishes. Available for takeaway or dine in, but bookings are essential. 90 minute sittings, minimum spend $35pp to dine in, contactless ordering and payment available. From June 22nd, they will be offering limited ‘tasting’ bookings throughout the day (12pm – 4pm), you can book these via their website also.
Kellybrook Winery will be open Friday & Saturday, 10am – 5pm, and Sunday 11am – 5pm, for tastings and sales of wines, ciders and beers (all made in house). Grazing plates of local produce available to enjoy with a glass of wine in the cellar door or under the oak tree. Bookings are recommended but not essential. Levantine Hill will be reopening on Thursday 25th June, and will operate Monday, Thursday and Friday 11am – 5pm, and weekends and Public Holidays 11am – 6pm. They’ll be offering four course ($80), six course ($135) or eight course ($195) menus with the option of adding wine flights. Bookings are highly recommended and contactless payment will be essential.
Mac Forbes – Graceburn Wine Room
Graceburn Wine Room will be open for dinner, Thursday – Saturday. With a three course menu ($50) available on Thursday and a four course on Friday and Saturday ($70), Chef Kate Kilsby has created an ever changing menu with a strong focus on sustainability through locally sources seasonal ingredients.
Reopening on Saturday 6th June, you can enjoy lunch at Mandala Wines on Weekends and Queen’s Birthday Monday. Open from 12pm – 4pm, there will be two sittings, and a $50pp minimum spend.
Medhurst Wines will reopen for Queen’s Birthday Weekend only, offering a two course, set menu between 11:30am – 4pm each day. Bookings are essential, contact 03 5964 9022 for further details and to book.
Reopening daily from Monday 1st June, Meletos will offer Lunch 12pm – 4pm, and Dinner 5pm – late. Enjoy a two course $60pp, or three course $75pp menu. There will be two sittings for two hours.
From Thursday 5th June, enjoy Lunch with No.7 Healesville, a two course, set menu for $45, Thursday – Sunday 12pm – 4pm. They’ll also be offering Dinner Friday and Saturday from 5pm, a Chef’s Selection, shared style for $60.
Oakridge Wines are working on some exciting new plans for their venue, with details to be announced soon.
You can visit Paynes Rise on weekends in one of the two lunch sittings, 12pm – 2pm or 2pm – 4pm. Enjoy a selection of platters and pizzas. Bookings are essential, email email@example.com or call 5964 2504
Pimpernel will reopen their Cellar Door on July 2nd, and will be open for tastings by appointment only, Thursday – Saturday, 10am – 5pm. Groups will be limited to up to six, as per compliance regulations, and there will be a booking fee of $50 per group/booking.
Punch Wine Room
You can visit Punch Wine Room on Saturdays 10am – 2pm to purchase their wines. Unfortunately no tastings available but they are offering a click-and-collect for their online orders.
Punt Road Wines
Visit Punt Road Wines for a tasting 10am – 5pm, Wednesday – Monday. Online booking recommended.
Rob Dolan Wines
Rob Dolan Wines is now open, 7 days a week, 10am – 5pm. Enjoy brunch from 10am – 12pm, wine and cheese in two seatings from 12:30pm – 2:30pm and 3pm – 5pm. Bookings are essential via (03) 9876 5885 and $5pp fee is required to secure booking. Bookings include your very own GoVino Wine Glass to keep!
Seville Estate will be reopening on Friday 5th June, and will be offering a la carte and a “Feed Me” options (1.5hr seating times). Open for Lunch Friday – Sunday, and Dinner Saturday and Sunday. For private dining experience contact: firstname.lastname@example.org
Soumah of Yarra Valley
Now open seven days a week, Soumah of Yarra Valley will be offering seated tastings for groups of up to eight people, daily between 10am – 5pm from June 22nd. No tasting bookings required although they do they recommend visiting outside of lunch hours. Tastings are $10pp, which is redeemable with wine purchases. Their restaurant Trattoria d’Soumah, is open daily now for two lunch sittings between 11:30am to 3pm, offering northern-Italian style menu. There is a $30pp minimum spend on food, and reservations are currently only being taken by phone – 03 5962 4716.
Squitchy Lane are open! Only open on weekends at this stage, visit between 11am – 5pm for free sit down tastings. Bookings are preferred via their website, but not essential.
Steels Gate are open Friday – Sunday, 11:30am – 5:30pm. Enjoy a two course lunch ($50) in two different sitting times, 11:30am and 1:30pm, with platters and wine tasting from 3:30pm. Dinner on Saturday evenings will also be available from June 27th. Bookings can be made via their website.
Visit Sutherland Estate on Weekends and Public Holidays between 10am – 5pm. Due to social distancing regulations, there will be limited availability. Bookings are recommended, walk ins will be welcome if space/numbers allow.
From Friday 5th June, enjoy a two or three course lunch at TarraWarra Estate from Friday – Sunday. Open from 12pm – 3:30pm, there will be a limited menu and bookings are essential via email@example.com
The Stables at Stones of the Yarra Valley
Reopening on Friday 5th June, The Stables will be offering Lunch Monday – Sunday, 12pm – 4pm, a selection of shared plates, $65pp. They’ll also have Dinner available on Friday and Saturday evenings, 6pm – late, a selection of shared plates with dessert, $80.

Warramunda Estate are now open Friday – Monday, 11am – 4pm. They’re offering a range of platters matched with a selected range of tastings from the Warramunda Estate and Liv Zak range of wines.
Open on weekends, 12pm – 6pm, Whispering Hills are offering wood fired pizzas, with takeaway available.
Yarra Yering is now open daily for take away sales only. Unfortunately no tastings currently available.
From Wednesday 3rd June, Yering Station will be open for lunch Wednesday – Friday with an a la carte menu, while Saturday and Sunday will be a set two course ($68pp) or three course ($80) menu. Their Cellar Door is now also open daily between 10am – 5pm for seated tastings.
Zonzo will be reopening on Wednesday 17th June with a $55pp set menu and set times. Wednesday – Sunday with their hours varying, so best to contact them directly to organise a time to visit. Bookings are essential with a deposit or prepayment required.
