Job Title: Casual Cellar Door Team Member – Saturday or Sunday
Established in 1972 by Dr Peter McMahon, Seville Estate is home to some of the oldest vines in the Upper Yarra Valley. Grown in rich red volcanic soils, our award-winning wines reflect a true sense of place. Nestled within a stunning native garden just one hour east of Melbourne, our cellar door offers guests an authentic and memorable wine experience.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and personable Casual Cellar Door Team Member to join our weekend team on a casual basis working one day per week, either Saturday or Sundays from 10:30am to 4:00pm.
About the Role
As a member of our cellar door team, you will:
· Welcome and host guests, guiding them through Seville Estate’s single-vineyard wines, sharing the story, history and philosophy of the estate
· Act as a Brand Ambassador, delivering memorable tasting experiences with professionalism and attention to detail
· Conduct opening and closing procedures, stock management operations, packing and despatching of orders, processing sales and handle POS transactions with accuracy
· Maintain the cellar door’s hygiene and presentation standards and warm, welcoming environment
· Plate and serve a limited menu of small plates and snacks
· Assist with occasional winery events
About You
You are:
· Passionate about wine, hospitality and customer service
· Friendly, confident and an excellent communicator
· Reliable, professional and well-presented
· Comfortable working independently and as part of a small team
· Available to work every Saturday or every Sunday on an ongoing basis
The following are highly regarded:
· Previous cellar door, wine or hospitality experience
· WSET Level 2 or 3 qualifications
· An interest in cool-climate wines and the Yarra Valley wine region
You must hold:
· A valid RSA certificate
· A current driver’s licence and reliable transport
This role is ideal for a winemaking, marketing or viti student, hospitality professional seeking supplementary weekend work or someone looking to gain hands-on experience in the wine industry while working in a premium cellar door environment.
