A Taste of The Region
11am: Garden walk and morning tea
Start off your day wandering through the stunning Melbas Garden in the heritage-rich Coombe Yarra Valley property. Over one-hundred years’ old, its seven acres are a mosaic of rare plants and old-world trees, which you can enjoy while partaking in a morning tea of coffee, tea and scones.
12:30pm: Wine tasting and lunch
With your senses primed, it’s time to indulge in the Yarra Valley’s exquisite flavours. Award-winning Oakridge Wines offers a tasting of the region’s acclaimed varieties – choose your favourite to have alongside lunch at Oakridge’s renowned restaurant, where local produce and native ingredients deliver a unique culinary experience.
3pm: Another tasting
Next, head to Punt Road Wines for your second tasting. This family-owned winery offers some of the best examples of Yarra Valley’s signature varieties – all characterised across three distinct expressions: Airlie Bank, Punt Road and the Block Series.
4pm: Cocktails in the orchard
Nothing brings the afternoon to a close better than sipping on a crisp, beautifully balanced cocktail at the Napoleone Orchard Bar. This artisanal haven is nestled in the family orchard, where they turn the humble apple into show-stopping tipples.
